Thelma tells the story of a 93-year-old grandmother who loses $10,000 to a con artist on the phone who pretends to be her grandson. With help from a friend and his motorized scooter, she soon embarks on a treacherous journey across Los Angeles to reclaim what was taken from her. The action-comedy film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and features June Squibb in her first starring role opposite the late Richard Roundtree. Selected Works by the late prolific Ipswich-based painter Thorpe Feidt on view October 1 – December 16, 2024 Thorpe Feidt (1940-2024) was a prolific painter based out of Ipswich, MA, and was a beloved professor of art and art history at Montserrat College, where he began teaching in 1973. At The Umbrella Arts Center.

In this two-day workshop, national memoirist & distinguished teacher Dr. Barbara Mossberg invites you “to the woods” — a place to find focus, inspiration, connection, and support for developing your memoir. Experiments, prompts and exercises in this workshop are designed to invite, inquire, and invoke your own “woods” through Thoreau’s lens of living purposefully.
