Event Description

The Umbrella Stage Company, in partnership with The Firebird Pops Orchestra, is thrilled to announce the return of our holiday pops concert! The orchestra will sweep you away with magical scores from seasonal favorites like Sleigh Ride and The Eighth Candle, classics including The Christmas Song, the beloved sing-along--plus a new holiday favorite, Rocket Sleigh (by Boston-based composer Delvyn Case)! Fun for the whole family--enjoy seasonal favorites at concessions, fun activities for the kids during intermission, and the chance to sing along together in celebration. It's sure to be a magical event! The Alcott Archives: A Door to Discovery and Joy
At the library’s public unveiling of the collections on March 28, 2026, renowned Alcott scholar Daniel Shealy observed that the new holdings encompass “numerous unpublished letters, hundreds of books, complete manuscripts, important presentation copies of books—most of them first editions—ephemera, photographs, first appearances of tales in periodicals, obscure and rare printings of books, and even unpublished journals.” According to Professor Shealy, the collections as a whole are “almost breathtaking in [their] scope and importance.”
