Event Description

Concord Center will be filled with holiday music, festive storefronts, and warm community spirit—making Jingle and Mingle the perfect way to celebrate the season while supporting local businesses. Throughout the day, Concord Center will be alive with music, art, and holiday spirit! Among the happenings, all within the easy walking distance: * The Umbrella Arts Center Winter Market runs all weekend long, featuring hand-crafted gifts and artwork from regional artisans. * Concord Free Public Library hosts its Annual Holiday Book Sale from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. * The 1780 House welcomes visitors for a special Open House. * Families won’t want to miss the “Decorate Your Own Gingerbread” event at Concord Market—a ticketed activity perfect for kids and families. * Stop by the Concord Visitors Center for a candy cane giveaway and browse select Concord souvenirs in the gift shop. * * The Concord Orchestra performs at 8:00 PM at the 51 Walden Performing Arts Center, a perfect way to end the day on a high note. Enjoy gift wrapping services and participate in the gift card drop-off program to support community needs. Concord Market is the official Toys for Tots drop-off location, collecting new, unwrapped toys from November 14 through December 12. Jingle and Mingle in Concord Center is presented by the Town of Concord in partnership with the Concord Chamber of Commerce. Programming is supported by the Concord Cultural Council and the Mass Cultural Council as part of the Concord Center Cultural District program—celebrating local arts, culture, and community spirit.

    From a New Eden in Concord to Little Women: New Alcott Family Collections

    The William Munroe Special Collections at the Concord Free Public Library has recently expanded one of the nation’s most significant archives devoted to Louisa May Alcott and her remarkable family. With the acquisition of several newly discovered letters by Alcott and two important collections assembled over decades, the Library has added new layers of insight into the life, work, and legacy of the author of Little Women.
