Event Description

Eight Artist‑Designed Pianos to Pop Up Across Concord This Spring. Get ready to play! From May 30 to June 26, the Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) is bringing music to the streets with Pianos on the Town—eight brightly painted upright pianos placed in public spots across Concord and West Concord for anyone to enjoy. The celebration kicks off with a lively “Piano Xtravaganza” on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 AM at Brookside Square. CCM students and faculty will perform outdoors on multiple pianos to launch the month‑long project. “Pianos on the Town creates joyful, unexpected moments of connection,” says Kate Yoder, CCM’s Executive Director. “We want people to stumble upon a piano and feel invited to play.” Where to Find the Pianos Concord Conservatory of Music • Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Bridge • Guitar Museum of New England • Hunt Recreation Center • The Umbrella Arts Center • Walden Street • Visitor Center Lawn • Concord Museum Share your musical moments using #ConcordConservatoryPianosOnTheTown.
