The Umbrella’s Winter Market is an annual three-day show and sale of artist, artisan, and hand-crafted work on all three floors of our beautifully renovated space in Concord, MA.

Selected Works by the late prolific Ipswich-based painter Thorpe Feidt on view October 1 – December 16, 2024 Thorpe Feidt (1940-2024) was a prolific painter based out of Ipswich, MA, and was a beloved professor of art and art history at Montserrat College, where he began teaching in 1973. At The Umbrella Arts Center.

Kat is a full-time artist and art instructor living outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Her work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States.

Join Concord Art on Thursday, Feb 27, at 5:30 pm for the opening reception of "Members Juried 2: Collage, Crafts, Drawing, Graphics, Mixed Media, Photography, Printmaking 2025," juried by Crista Dix. The exhibition is on view Feb 27 - Mar 27, 2025.

Around Hear is renowned for their innovative performances, and this event will feature works by J.S. Bach, Dvořák, and local composers Mike Kelley and Dan Sedgwick. From cosmic themes to the everyday pigeon, the music will be both captivating and thought-provoking. Attendees will not only enjoy beautiful chamber music but also interact with visual elements and even create their own floor art, making this an immersive and participatory experience. The ensemble features Around Hear founders Marji Gere (violin) and Dan Sedgwick (piano), along with vocalist Will Green. We're also thrilled to open the program with a special performance by a talented CCM student.

The spring palette unfolds into the colors of summer with our fourth show of the year. Represented artist Brenda Cirioni returns with textural abstract paintings that carry the memory of a garden. Contemporary figurative paintings by Joan Hanley speak to the everyday curiosity of life. Concord-based guest artist Christiane Corcelle shares dynamic mixed media paintings with a bold palette and composition. The show also features new works by represented artists Cindy Crimmin, Joe Faria, Jennifer M. Johnston, Joan Kocak, and Bethany Noël, and guest artist Jill Goldman-Callahan.

Lucy Lacoste Gallery is delighted to present Chris Gustin: Wild Things, September 13- October 11, 2025, an exhibition of closed form abstract ceramic sculpture. The artist, a visionary force in the field of abstract ceramics, uses melting wood ash from his firings to reveal form, creating works that are anthropomorphic, landscape and cloudlike, galactic and otherworldly.
