"Local-ish to Lincoln, MA? Come join us next Wednesday, October 23 for our second annual TEDx Walden Pond event. This year's theme is "Two to Tell the Truth!" The theme echoes Henry David Thoreau's beautiful quote: "It takes two to speak the truth: One to talk, and one to listen."

Beautiful Lands or “Belle Terre” focuses on three artists whose work is drawn directly from the Earth. Jonathan MacAdam captures the memory of a place and the tranquility of standing in a mesmerizing New England landscape, where the splendor of the sky is palpable. Jennifer Johnston presents her photographic series of light-infused flowing water and hardened rock, and Colleen Pearce exhibits enjoyable and fluid interpretations of geological formations and plant life using oil on yupo.

A public ceremony will deservedly and respectfully honor Concord’s 19th Century Female Anti-Slavery Society with the dedication of our gifts of a flowering tree and raised brass plaque placed in the Cemetery. The Society, unique in its composition of Black and White members, was founded on October 18th, 1837.

The orchestra, conducted by Music Director Zeke Fetrow, performs a program of Johannes Brahms'  Academic Festival Overture, Samuel Barber's Music for a Scene from Shelley,  Claude Debussy's Petite Suite, and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 2.Oct 19 and 20, 2024

Acclaimed singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, band leader, and rock and roll performer Grace Potter performs a concert to benefit the nonprofit Umbrella Arts Center in its intimate 350-seat mainstage Theater 144. This show is part of The Umbrella Concert Series, which over eight years has raised funds and awareness as The Umbrella expanded into the regional arts center it is today. Oct 18

The Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers return once again to recognize and celebrate Indigenous People’s Day at Concord Museum. Join these musicians and artisans from the tribal communities of Mashpee on Cape Cod and Aquinnah on Martha’s Vineyard for a moving performance of eastern social songs and dances.
